FERTILISER AND GREVILLEAS

The information on this subject is based on our own experience
and is intended as a guide only.

The photos on the left shows granular slow release fertiliser and this is the safest recommendation we can make.
This kind of fertiliser can be bought at most good garden centres and hardware stores but please do make sure it says it is designed for natives on the packet as not all are.
Other fertilisers can be used but be very cautious of anything high in phosphorus i.e. chook poo and some other animal manures.
We have used small amounts of blood and bone in the bottom of the hole when planting and found this to be beneficial as the plant gets older.

Also there are some good liquid fertilisers on the market that are ideal for natives.

Please be careful with fertilisers and Grevilleas, this would be the number one reason when anyone loses a Grevillea.

If in doubt do not fertilize!!
